Visual Identity, Interactive Installation

Have you ever heard the “sound” of the universe? There was a sound in the primordial plasma before stars, and that sound was instrumental in shaping the stars into existence. Cosmic Sound is a concert that celebrates sound from the universe. The sounds are not coming from instruments. Instead, they are derived from the Cosmic Microwave in the universe. The identity use wave as a language to visualize the cosmic sound.

The poster series aims to communicate the artists’ imagination of outer space and cosmic microwave and emphasis the inner connections between sound, art and the universe.

DIGITAL INTERFACE

︎
The digital experience provides in-depth statistics and information of musicians and artists and enlarges the engaging experience of cosmic sound concerts.

︎

INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION

︎
The sounds we hear are the interactive result of music and physical space. Any changes in the presence of this physical space can shape the sound. These subtle changes produce a distinctive sound. The installation is an interactive physical space for shaping a sound. It threads through the forests of Mount Wilson Observatory.

The installation is a physical space that seeks to collect and visualize waves of sounds created by artists Jeff Talman. The semi-open space allows the waves to interact with the position of the audience and installation pieces and the natural elements in Mount Wilson, such as trees, rocks, and fog. The audience to this physical space will explore the visual of sound waves and how waves interact with the surrounding environment by moving around the installation.
